To our valued clients,

Thank you for your patience and loyalty as we all worked our way through the last two months. As you have heard, the Government of Alberta now is lifting some restrictions and initiating Stage 1 of the relaunch strategy.

Here at Cornerstone Counselling, we are preparing to reopen our office at reduced capacity on May 19, 2020. Our hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. We will not be open on Saturdays at this time. We will be limiting our capacity to reduce contact in the waiting room and only a portion of counsellors will be taking in-office appointments at this time.

The counsellors who will have in-office appointments are:

  • Dr. Landor Liddell
  • Nadia Keys
  • Dr. Janet Kaldas
  • Steve Mironuck
  • Zac Berg
  • Jennifer Chow

On June 3, 2020, the following counsellors will resume in-office appointments:

  • Dr. Marliss Meyer

We will be adding more counsellors as the stages progress. If your counsellor is not returning on May 19th and you have been waiting for an in-office appointment, you can call us for information on your counsellor’s return plan. If you are currently enjoying telephone or online counselling sessions and you wish to continue with this format, you may do so. All of the counsellors listed above are prepared to see clients in-person or online.

Please note, we will be engaging in additional screening and disinfecting protocols and we will be maintaining physical distancing.

We would ask that you do not come to our office if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Further, under the public health orders, you are still required to isolate for:

  • 14 days if you returned from international travel or are a close contact of a person with COVID-19, plus an additional 10 days from the onset of symptoms, should they occur.
  • 10 days if you have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat that is not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition.

We know that the additional safety and disinfecting measures that we are putting in place may feel different at first, but please know that your physical and mental wellbeing is our top priority. We are eager to see you again, and we want to help you find your way to wellness.
