Anger Management
Cornerstone's Anger Management Program is offered to those who wish to change destructive expressions of anger into positive behaviors. This course runs on two consecutive Saturdays and is facilitated by Registered Canadian Counsellor, John Hoedl, M.A.
Managing Moods, Dealing With Drama
This eight-evening workshop for teenagers will help them:
- develop strategies to regulate emotions
- learn to be assertive in difficult situations
- constructively handle frustration
- identify life pressures that drag them down
- develop an emotional resilience plan
- make healthy lifestyle choices
Marriage Preparation
This is a practical weekend course facilitated by Registered Psychologist, Dr. Marliss Meyer. Couples will be introduced to basic relationship skills for marriage communication, conflict management, commitment, vision setting through the use of lecture, video, and couple exercises.
Christian Marriage Preparation
Building a beautiful marriage requires planning, preparation, and intentional actions if it is to grow into something that will endure. This premarital course, taught by Registered Provisional Psychologist, Amy Thompson, is designed to give you and your partner the tools and the insight to establish a stable foundation that will mature into a life-long romance.
Stress Management for Women
Learning to Live Well in a Busy World is Cornerstone's stress management course for women between the ages of 35 and 60.
Communication Skills, Tools and Techniques
This two day practical course is designed to review basic communication skills and address advanced communication skills. Sessions include Understanding Communication, Developing Speaking Skills, Improving Listening Skills and Understanding Non-verbal Clues.
Communication for Couples
Cornerstone's workshop designed specifically for couples to develop and manage communication within their relationship.
Seminars
Our team of Psychologists and Family Therapists are available to address businesses, churches and non-profit groups on mental health issues. We are able to provide short presentations such as company lunch and learns as well as educational seminars to large groups. Here are some of the issues we've covered in the past:
