Recent increases in fees for counselling in Alberta are making it more and more difficult for people with low incomes to get the help that they need.

At Cornerstone Counselling Centre, we believe those in distress or in need should have access to professional counselling services, regardless of income level.

In spite of the fact that our fees are based on family income and remain well below the recommended rates, over half of our clients require a subsidy in order to receive counselling.

Our 2008 goal is to raise $150,000 for our Compassion Fund to provide assistance for clients who otherwise would not have access to the counselling they require.

Three Special Events help us achieve this goal:

  • Paddling for Compassion: Saturday, September 20, 2008
  • Spring Banquet: Saturday, March 3, 2008

Because we are a not-for-profit organization, tax-deductible receipts are issued for donations sent to Cornerstone. These donations will be directed towards the Compassion Fund.
